Testing out a new “toy” camera, ordered last year, came in the mail only a month ago. Yashica, relaunched in Hong Kong, has developed an hybrid digital camera, using films/cartridges to emulate analog film moods. Here are my first shots.

Day 14, 15 & 16 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: last three days enjoying Yuushien garden and its impressive peony collection, then fisher town Ine, then Amanohashidate, Japan’s most beautiful sight-seeing and last Kanazawa and its gold leave making history turned into ice-cream and cosmetics before leaving to Tokyo and Paris.

Day 12 & 13 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: a short trip to Miyajima island before heading to Izumo, Shimane prefecture known as the “land of god” to enjoy gods onsen.

Day 11 & 12 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: a planned day trip to Naoshima and Teshima ended quickly by an hurricane coming and an advanced trip to the very emotional Hiroshima.

Day 9 & 10 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: pearl diving at Mikimoto island in Toba, visiting Ise shrines and top 3 gardens in Japan in Okayama.

Day 7 & 8 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: perfect timing for celebrating Kyo no Tanabata, a legend about wishes from the stars turned into a summer festival with its annual 60 minutes (!) fireworks celebrating world peace.

Day 6 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: enjoying an another cooler day but this time in Hakone’s forests around Kawaguchi lake and open-air art museum.

Day 4, & 5 from a 3 weeks summer road trip in Japan: playing at game station Anata no Warahouse in Kawasaki and enjoying a cooler weather at Kamakura beach, temples and Enoshima.

Notre-Dame-de-Paris impressive rug was well stored during the fire of April. Dating from 1825-33, it is used for the most prestigious events, as the wedding of Bonaparte IIIrd but remains stored most of the time. Last viewing was from 2014, gathering the rug and chasubles worn by priest during the mass. It is now at Mobilier National for a quick public viewing before heading to restoration workshop for repair and cleaning.
